We have visited the Ranganathittu bird sanctuary in Karnataka a few times, and have always been amazed by the sight of these massive birds gathered on little islands at the sanctuary. Standing tall, they ignore the many visitors there, which make for great photo moments! 
 
The color highlights in the background were a happy accident; it seems to bring out the black and white plummage of the Ibis!
